Clear answers for the capture workflow.

Troubleshoot full-page captures, protected browser pages, exports, keyboard shortcuts, and privacy questions without creating an account.

Full-page capture stops

Keep the source tab open and active while ScrollWeave scrolls. Try disabling lazy-content pre-scroll on pages that change layout while loading.

Protected browser pages

Chrome pages, browser settings, and the Chrome Web Store are restricted by Chrome. Try a regular HTTP or HTTPS webpage.

Export troubleshooting

Very large canvases may be scaled for safe editing. If a PDF is too large, crop the canvas or export a PNG/JPEG instead.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Alt + Shift + P — capture the full page.
  • Alt + Shift + V — capture the visible area.
  • Inside the editor, V pans, C crops, D draws, A adds an arrow, R adds a box, H highlights, B blurs, and T adds text.
  • Ctrl/Cmd + Z and Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z undo and redo editor actions.

Why can’t I capture a Chrome page?

Chrome controls access to browser-owned pages such as chrome:// URLs and the Chrome Web Store. This is a browser restriction rather than a ScrollWeave account or server setting.

Why is content missing?

Some websites render images or sections only after they enter the viewport. Enable “Load lazy content” in the popup or settings, then try again. If the page is highly animated, wait for it to settle and consider disabling the pre-scroll option.

How do I clear local captures?

Open Capture History and delete individual records or clear all. In Settings, set “Recent captures to keep” to 0 to disable future history storage.
